Mouland Haulage was founded in early 1995 by David Mouland himself with one 28ft rigid based vehicle, having served an extensive period of learning his trade working as a contract driver for other firms.
By the end of April 1996, David had part-exchanged the rigid for a wagon-and-drag combination. Things then progressed at a steady rate with increasing demands from a solid network of customers with whom David had built excellent working relationships. As the company’s reputation for excellence grew, so did the fleet, and by November 1996 David had bought his first articulated vehicle with a 45ft flatbed, and employed his first driver.18 months later, Mouland Haulage had acquired its third articulated vehicle, and by 1999 had expanded further to a fleet of 8 vehicles – 6 articulated Scania tractor units with 45ft flatbed trailers, and 2 Scania rigid flatbeds. David had also just invested in the Company’s first piece of specialist equipment a tri-axle “Broshuis” extending semi low-loader swiftly followed by a tri-axle “Nooteboom” extending semi low-loader.
With continual growth, by September 2008 the Company’s fleet had expanded still further with the addition of four DAF 105 6x2 tractor units, and now boasts some 14 modern vehicles together with an array of trailers for every occasion.
The Organisation’s consistent growth is due to, and will remain attributable to a firm commitment to positive quality management and effective service provision, affirmed by its achievement in the accreditation of ISO 9001:2008 in January 2009.
